Athletics Mission Statement
The Petaluma High School Department of Athletics believes interscholastic athletics plays a major role in the educational process, and strives to provide a challenging, meaningful and exciting experience for the student-athlete.
Petaluma High School’s interscholastic program shares in the educational mission of the Petaluma City School District by offering opportunities to experience interpersonal growth and social development, as well as to improve physical and mental health for all student-athletes.
Through interscholastic competition, the PHS Athletic Department provides an environment for social interaction and campus/community building while fostering a sense of Trojan spirit and tradition. The coaching and support staffs place the highest value on Commitment, Integrity, Loyalty, Respect, and Teamwork.
In carrying out its mission, the Petaluma High School Athletic Department will strengthen the ability of its young men and women to manage their lives and fulfill their potential as students, athletes and citizens.
